Are there any trialers in the Southwest Georgia area? If so would any mind dragging a newby to the woods with em? Hope I can hear from some of you guys before it starts getting too warm.
I posted this on another site and got an invite to a trial (for which I am thankful for) but I am very anxious about how my dogs really do out there in the field.
I live in Southwest GA and the rabbit population is not what it used to be (or definatly seems not to be the same). So that being said my dogs work hard trying just to jump a rabbit and once they do they seem to do pretty good. But that is just my opinion. I would like to get up with someone (within a reasonable driving distance) and let my dog/dogs run with a solid dog that knows what they are doing in the field. I think that I could learn a lot and my dogs could learn a lot. I would greatly appreciate it.
Another thing...it is getting closer and closer to summer and closer and closer to snakes coming out. What do you guys do to keep your dogs up during the summer months that have this problem? I don't have the money to ship them off for the summer to keep them running, but I don't want them to sit idly by during the hot months and be out of shape when fall/winter rolls around. Any suggestions?
Any suggestion about anything would be appreciated. LOL This newby wants to learn all I can. I just love to hear them dogs!
