We have changed the format in which a hound qualifies for the Run Off at the U.S. Championship. This format is effective for the 2015 season and the Run Off to be held at the 2016 U.S. Championship. Format as follows:

Open Qualification: Any hound with 2 wins (no more than 1 from 1 club) and a total of 100 points as pertains to our certification eligibility is qualified.

Champion Qualification: Any hound with 5 wins ( no more than 3 from 1 club) is qualified. (same as certification eligibility for grand)

Grand Qualification: Any hound with 5 wins ( no more than 3 from 1 club) is qualified. (same as champion eligibility)

The Top Ten hounds, along with any winner of a region that is not in the top ten, will as always be automatically qualified for the Run Off.

To recognize the efforts of the hounds making it into the top ten, all top ten plus any regional winner not in the top ten will receive a first round bye.(meaning they won't run until the second round)

All Reserve Hound Of The Year winners will receive a bye until the semi-finals.
All Hound of the Year Winners will receive a bye until the Finals.

This is an effort to allow multiple ways of qualifying for the Run Off, without taking away the accomplishments of the hounds that have competed and finished cumulatively in the Top Ten or won their region. Our goal is to continue to improve and grow this sport, that we all cherish, so that it may prosper and continue to be a positive organization for not only us, but for all future generations to follow.
